Our office and field teams work together indefatigably to exceed our clients’ expectations.

Founder
Partner, 40+ years experience, founded MGT in 1994
Ed’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all business lines run efficiently, and our clients receive impeccable service. With over 40 years of construction experience, Ed is usually in the field, leading our supervisors and doing whatever it takes to exceed the client’s expectations. He is continuously involved on all projects to ensure superior service, highest quality, and timely delivery to uphold the standard of “The MGT Way.” Ed enjoys spending time with his family, especially as a grandpa to his grandkids, and turning wrenches on a few hot rod projects.
President, Senior Project Manager
Partner, 15+ years experience, joined MGT in 2000
Mark started his career in the field before moving into the office to manage projects, doing both hands-on work and supervision. Mark has an exceptional understanding of what it takes to complete any project successfully. Mark strategically develops operations and processes that allow our team to exceed expectations while maintaining budget and schedule. He is focused on implementing best practices, maintaining trusting relationships, identifying potential problems early, and assisting in providing prudent and timely recommendations for efficient delivery. Mark’s role is to supervise and coordinate operations to ensure the project team has the resources they need. Mark enjoys spending time with his family and breaking away to enjoy the outdoors chasing deer or elk.
Office Manager
20+ years experience, joined MGT in 2011
Renee plays an integral role in ensuring others can do their jobs effectively. She is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of clerical and administrative support staff, ensuring work is finished on time and accurately. Her role is multifaceted and includes job cost accounting, payroll, cash management, government and contractor compliance, and, most importantly, maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial and project data. Her time away from the office is spent enjoying life with her husband and two kids. Her favorites are packing up the family to attend her son’s baseball games or camping adventures. She loves the mountains and traveling as much as possible.
Project Manager
5+ years experience, joined MGT in 2015
A graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in construction management, Jake has been working in the industry, both in the office and in the field, for over 5 years. Jake’s focus is to serve our team and ensure our office support team, and field supervisors stay on the same page. During the construction phase, he’s the quarterback of the project operations team and manages all project controls, including cost and schedule. He also supports pre-construction by reviewing cost estimates, proposals, and schedules to ensure our commitments are complete before the contract. Jake enjoys spending time outdoors on the range, being with family and friends, and cheering on the Gators.
Project Manager
5+ years experience, joined MGT in 2013
Sean Smith is a graduate of the Rinker Building Construction school at the University of Florida. He understands the importance of serving clients, developing relationships, and developing future leaders on our team. Sean is responsible for overseeing all phases of the construction project and the main day-to-day point of contact for our projects. During pre-construction, Sean develops cost estimates and schedules, including value analysis and identifying any cost-saving concepts for our clients. Once construction begins, Sean is responsible for coordinating submittals, schedules, RFI’s, owner direct purchases, and resource allocation. He also enjoys time spent outdoors, biking, hiking, and traveling.
General Superintendent
5+ years experience, joined MGT in 2020
Robert started his career in the specialties construction industry after his military service with the United States Coast Guard. His leadership and management training in the military has provided a strong foundation for building upon in commercial construction. Robert’s attention to detail and experience allows him to coach our field teams on both the day-to-day work skills and how to optimize efficiency. Robert is responsible for allocating the appropriate workforce and resources to complete each job ahead of schedule while ensuring the highest level of quality. Robert enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle with his family.
General Superintendent
10+ years experience, joined MGT in 2012
Thomas’ primary responsibilities are to guide, lead, and coordinate his field teams. He strives to keep communication his highest priority and always to put our clients first. Thomas has a strong leadership ability while still keeping our teams in the field safe. His goal is to complete a project efficiently while being safe and maintaining excellent quality. When he’s not leading multiple crews in the field, he spends time with his family outdoors.
